Atotech, founded on 1 February 1993 by the merger of two leading surface treatment companies, M&T Harshaw and Schering Galvanotecnia, is one of the world's largest manufacturers of processes and plants for conventional electroplating and printed circuit board manufacturing. Headquartered in Berlin, it has more than 1,800 employees in 27 countries and belongs to ELF Atochem, Paris, the chemical arm of ELF. Atotech España, S.A. has the technology for supplying equipment, installations, and processes for painted and anodised aluminium. Its processes include Preparation (Degreasing and etching additives, Chromatising and Phosphochromatising and Chrome-free pre-treatment), Anodising and Finishing (Colouring/multicolour processes and low and medium temperature sealing). Atotech España, S.A. also distributes processes and technology from the company Italtecno.
